Diesel (new photos 27.5.09)

Rescued a GWP? Have a GWP? Let's see some photos and tell us about them.

Diesel (new photos 27.5.09)

Diesel arrived almost a year ago as a rather energetic 10 month old boy. We were family number 3 for Diesel and we wondered just what we had taken on. Diesel, it was reported, suffered from separation anxiety and could be destructive when left alone. This, it turned out, was true! He also could not be let off the lead as he disappeared over the horizon. This was also true!

It took a while for Diesel to adopt us although this was only apparent to us with hindsight. Slowly he opened up and his full character became apparent.

We can now leave him (with our Giant Schnauzer, Snaz) without worrying (too much) that we might return to a scene of devastation. He also enjoys enthusiastic running off the lead and we no longer need worry as he is soon back to check my pockets for biscuits! He has turned into a happy obedient (yes obedient!) dog that is a joy to have around.

Hi John (and Diesel)

What a big, handsome fellow he is.

So pleased that you persevered and that he has turned out so well.

Ian, yes he has grown into himself over the past year. He is quite tall and leggy, which is somethig he puts to good use in his romps around the fields. He has also filled out and judging by the way he eats I will need to be careful that he doesn't keep filling out!

I would like to see some picture of Willow, his sister, to see how they compare. I will keep checking to see if anything gets posted.

John, great to see the photos of Diesel. I fooled my son telling him it was Willow and he never doubted it. They are like two peas in a pod. I'm having great difficulties trying to upload any photos of her on the site as I would love you to see the likeness. Don't know if you have any suggestions? Moira
