Bear

Rescued a GWP? Have a GWP? Let's see some photos and tell us about them.

Bear

Postby linz on Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:15 pm

Bear spent much of his early life at the vets or in hospital before being diagnosed with immune related poly arthritis which is kept under control by steroids - we are hoping he will grow out of it and that we can reduce or eventually stop his medication.

Bear is a 1 year old male GWP who came home to join our 4 year old bitch Letti. Although Letti wasn't too impressed to start with as Bear had a way of stealing all the attention being bigger and bouncier and with an over abundance of heart felt enthusiasm about everything, Letti set about teaching him to hunt, point and chase all furry and feathered creatures and they are now the firmest of friends.

Bear is the most affectionate dog and will follow his family everywhere liking nothing more than to be lying on your feet or preferably on your lap. We would like to thank the GWP Club Rescue for allowing us to adopt Bear and for all their help and support particularly regarding his medical condition. Bear has given us so much joy since his arrival and we look forward to providing him with the love he so deserves.
