'Gunnar' Young male GWP *Now re-homed*

Postby GWPRescue on Fri Nov 21, 2008 9:45 pm

This is Gunnar, a very young male GWP who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. Gunnar's family's working circumstances have changed and they have very reluctantly decided that it would be in Gunnar's best interests to seek a new home for him.

Gunnar is docked, vaccinated and microchipped; he has not yet been castrated due to his youth.

Gunnar pulls somewhat when on the lead but use of a Halti-type harness should correct this; his recall is best described as 'intermittent' so some work will be required here. He has received elementary training on which his future training can be built. He is good with all other dogs and with people including children. Gunnar lives happily with two children (10 & 11) and a cat.

Gunnar travels well in the car and has been left without problem for 5/6 hours. He is not crate-trained.

We are looking for a home ideally with GWP experience, where Gunnar will receive the mental and physical stimulation and firm and consistent training that a young dog needs to develop into a well-balanced adult.

All potential homes will be checked for suitability.

On re-homing Gunnar we will be inviting a donation of £150 to GWPC Rescue.

Gunnar is in Herefordshire.
